2-Day Changeover to Acrylic Course
This course is for qualified manicurists. This course is held over 2 full days. As you will be qualified in manicures, you should require none or very little input to the aspects of hand & nail anatomy and basic salon health & safety. This enables us to cut the course down to just 2 days, These will be filled with specific product knowledge and application practise. If you feel you are suitable to do this course, please call prior to booking, where a few questions will be asked in order to determine whether or not you meet the criteria. This will determine how in depth your knowledge to basic salon health & safety and natural nail anatomy is. Day1 will begin with an in depth look at the Beautiful Nails (International) acrylic liquid and powder system. We discuss product safety, which includes product storage, product use & contamination. Benefits and reasons for the treatment are then explained. Finally students are then guided by detailed demos until they are happy to take part in application on their own. 1-Day Refresher Course
This course is aimed at qualified nail technicians who have been out of the nail industry for a while, who have been trained but lack the confidence to work within the public, who whilst working keep coming up against the same problem time and time again or to those who just wish to refresh their skills. Refresher days are delivered to a maximum of 2 students at a time. You will be enrolled to attend the course with another technician experiencing similar problems or who is taking part for similar reasons. We keep classes this small to ensure that all problems can be addressed, and an extremely high level of one on one time is gained. The day is completely customised per student, making sure that specific areas that need working on get full attention. The day runs from 10am until 4pm, with a lunch break of up to an hour. A model is required for this day course. Minimum previous qualifications required are an industry recognised certificate in acrylic liquid & powder enhancements, gel enhancements or fibreglass & silk wraps (evidence required to be shown). The price includes 1 day of tuition, a student manual and certificate. There are not any required achievement levels on this course as the certificate awarded is not a qualification, (the previous training certificate required to enrol on this course is that), it simply proves skills have been refreshed. If it is found that students are lacking in any aspect of their current qualification, action and further training will be advised.
Students should bring their own tools. If the technician is currently using Beautiful Nails (International) Ltd gel or acrylic they should bring their own brush also. Products are supplied.
1-Day Advanced Nail Technician Course
This course is aimed at qualified nail technicians who are looking to expand and upgrade their services. This course looks at new ideas and concepts within the industry, addresses problem nails, gives practise with permanent french tips and explores sculpting. Students should be previously qualified in either acrylic liquid & powder, gel or wrap system enhancements, and should be working at a high and very competent level. We therefore hope that they require no input to the aspects of hand & nail anatomy, basic salon health & safety and tip application. This enables us to break the course down to 1 day, and to fill that day with specific product knowledge and practise. To determine whether students are suitable for this course we have a short discussion, (prior to booking the course), to discover how in depth the students knowledge to basic salon health & safety, natural nail anatomy, tip and product application is. In order to successfully pass this course, students must obtain a minimum practical achievement level of 85%. If students do not reach the necessary standards we offer first retakes completely free of charge. The day runs from 10am until 4pm, with a lunch break of up to an hour. A model is required for this day course, ideally one with problem nails, (very shortly bitten nails, very wide nails, spooned nails etc). The price includes 1 day of tuition, a student manual and certificate. Any further training required due to the achievement level not being reached on first and second assessments is charged at £75.00 per day.
